This sample charter itinerary takes you down the Clyde past Toward point and around the islands of Cumbrae to the town of Ardrossan for an evening, then across the channel to Brodick Bay on the delightful Arran, before a brisk sail back up to Kip Marina cutting between the Cumbraes and Largs and Skelmorlie.

Bacon Rolls at Ardrossan

After a few bacon rolls, head south keeping Toward Point to Starboard , then greater and little Cumbrae to Port. Continue on to the town of Ardrossan where you find find a wealth of local ameneties and entertainment options.

Hop across to Arran

A quick hop across to Arran will see you in the stunning Brodick Bay and, unless particlarly cloudy, you should be able to make out the distinctive Ailsa Craig rock towering out of the horizon from the south. Brodick offers floating moorings, some of which only a stone's throw from the shore, so holding shouldn`t be a problem (vhf/phone contact details can be found in the almanac).

Leisurely sail back to Kip

The return leg offers the chance of crossing the main shipping lane passing Toward point to Port, or cutting inside little and greater Cumbrae to get a closer look at Millport to port, then Largs and Skelmorlie to starboard
